Acoustic diffuser employs the QRD diffusion theory, which is based on the quadratic remainder theory. It calculates the varying depths of the pedal to form the diffuser. Front wall:
Front wall is the closest primary reflection point at the whole room. Put it on the front wall can keep the  sound retained and well scattered towards the listening position.
